ACE Badminton Centre features a floating sports floor system providing shock absorption, consisting three components:
Top layer - Badminton PVC Sports Flooring made up of three layers: PVC wear-resisting coat (1,2mm), fiber-glass reinforced layer and PVC foaming buffer layer
Underlayment - layer of cushioning, high-density foam resilient absorbing shock
Floating Wood Subfloor - uniform resiliency and high shock absorption that enhances play for athletic activities

I think the courts are nicer here, it's got some special wooden floor boards, it's a little out of the way in Richmond to go here, and in the summer time their AC was broken last time so it was like a big sauna! There were plenty of open courts for people to play on.
The court is actually nicer. Does it change your game play at novice level? No. Does it change your game play at advance level? Most certainly. It all boils down to the details of playing.
